Register for the program June 13 or after for our 6 week challenge, which begins June 16.
Begin tracking your reading minutes on Mon., June 16. Reading challenge ends Wed., July 23.
All logs must be turned in by the end of the day on Wednesday July 23.
Come to any or all of the performances below!!
You will get credit towards reading minutes for attending the programs.
The Howard and Betty Great Sunflower Save the Bees Project
Beginning on May 5, you may pick up a pledge card and sunflower seeds (free) and register for this project at Montello Public Library! You will be a “citizen scientist” and learn about pollinators and their place in our world! Prizes will be awarded in a random drawing this fall for those who participate and complete this awesome challenge.
Monday, June 16 @ 1:00 pm – Community Room at Montello City Hall
As a Wisconsin DPI-certified teacher and a member of Nature’s Guide Independent Naturalist Service, Stephanie will encourage participants to guess various animal sounds, acting out the animal's actions and mimicking their sounds. Animal furs, feathers, beaks, and feet will be available for participants to touch.

Tuesday, June 24 @ 1:00 pm – Meeting Room at Montello Public Library
Come observe as live ants are introduced to an ant farm and begin to create a colony. Learn what goes in the colony. Play “Crazy Ant Trivia” and life-sized “Ants-in-the-Pants” using catapults that you will make.
ArtVenture Girl – Vanessa Selthofner Workshop
Thursday, July 10 @ 1:00 pm – Community Room at Montello City Hall
ArtVenture Girl is a certified art teacher, specializing in extreme hands-on art projects. She will tell of her traveling adventures and the artistic things she encountered. Participants will learn of her great adventures and create multiple hands-on art projects. At the conclusion of each session, ArtVenture Girl will reveal the custom passport stamp she created especially for that session.
Wednesday, July 23 @ 1:00 pm – Community Room at Montello City Hall
Stuart is a favorite library performer around the Midwest. Stuart’s performance will includes songs and stories about exploring the wonders of our world, with lots of humor, interaction, and a serious plug for reading.

Montello teens are encouraged to stop by the library today and sign up for this summer's Teen Read program. Teens will be reading Exposure: A Virals Novel by Kathy Reichs and Brendan Reichs. This is book #4 in the Virals series. Here’s the synopsis:

The Montello Public Library is looking bright! Congrats to Eli S. who finished the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten journey on Friday, March 7, 2014. Eli started the journey on Friday, April 19, 2013.
