*IN-PERSON VISITS AND GUIDELINES FOR MONTELLO PUBLIC LIBRARY*

We thank you for your continued support throughout these confusing and trying times. Please note that this is an evolving situation, and any guidelines are subject to change and/or updating at any time. Please remember that there is nowhere that is 100% risk free. Our guidelines are based on suggestions from the health department, our city officials, board of trustees, and the CDC.

We feel these guidelines are necessary to ensure safety of staff and patrons.

Expanded Services beginning June 1st

Beginning Monday, June 1, we will be expanding our services to include scheduled computer use time, as well as fax/copy and scanning services.  At this time, you will need to call ahead for all of these services, because our front door will remain locked. It is nearly impossible to maintain social distancing guidelines with the layout of our building.  We will continue curbside pickup for items you have placed on hold.  We are happy to report that we are now receiving deliveries twice a week and will be able to fill your holds from other libraries at this time.

*CURBSIDE PICKUP INFORMATION*

Montello Public Library will begin offering curbside service to our patrons the week of Monday, April 27th. We will not be able to offer fax, email, or scanning services. On Monday April 27, we will begin processing holds for materials belonging to Montello Public Library only. Meaning, if we own it here and it is available on our shelves, the items can be reserved for curbside pickup at a designated time. Since this is a new process and there are many variables, please bear with us as we figure out all of the details.

*Update from Montello Public Library - 4/21/2020*

Many of you have read/heard about Gov. Evers exception to the updated Safer at Home order for public libraries. With specific restrictions, curbside pickup of books and other library materials will be allowed after April 24. At this time (with recommendations from Winnefox Library System and the local and state Health Departments), I am working on a plan that will be safe for me and my staff, that will also be able to serve our community.
