Library Closing! - 5pm Tuesday, March 17

The Montello Public Library will be closed, effective at 5pm on Tuesday, March 17, to re-open April 6 if conditions have improved. There will be no programming or events during this time. By closing, we are following the lead of the school district, along with Executive Orders from the Governor and recommendations from the Wisconsin Library Association. This hard decision was made in order to protect our staff and patrons from unnecessary virus exposure.
We will extend the due dates on all library materials due during the closure, so no fines will be assessed during this time. We will re-evaluate the situation in the coming weeks and keep you updated as to any changes.
Our electronic resources and Overdrive (digital library) will still be available, and can be accessed via our website Use your library card to access FREE ebooks or eaudio books to pass the time. Your log-in information is your library card number and the last 4 digits of your phone number. We also expect to leave our WiFi active, if you absolutely have to have internet access. However, the point of this closure and other public space closures is to limit the spread of the virus – so please keep that in mind.
