Montello Public Library will begin offering curbside service to our patrons the week of Monday, April 27th. We will not be able to offer fax, email, or scanning services. On Monday April 27, we will begin processing holds for materials belonging to Montello Public Library only. Meaning, if we own it here and it is available on our shelves, the items can be reserved for curbside pickup at a designated time. Since this is a new process and there are many variables, please bear with us as we figure out all of the details.
What does all of this mean for you, as our patron? You may begin placing holds through the catalog from our website at www.montellolibrary.org, emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or calling 608-297-7544 to leave a message for items you are requesting for curbside delivery. When we have items available for you for pickup, we will call or email you to set up a pickup date and time. These times will vary based upon factors such as, availability of items that may need quarantine for at least 24, most likely 48 hours; availability of staff for processing the holds and getting them ready for you to pick up, and the pickup and drop-off of our delivered items from Winnefox. We ask that all returned items during this time are returned to our book drop and not placed outside of the library or in the space reserved for curbside delivery items. Please observe social distancing and hand-washing/sanitizing recommendations when utilizing curbside pickup.
