The Friends…believe in the value of books and reading, and the important information services the library provides.
The Friends…share the convictions that good library service is important to everyone!
What Do Friends Do?
The Friends…raise funds for projects or materials in excess of the library budget.
The Friends…volunteer their time to perform library services.
The Friends…encourage gifts, endowments and memorials for the library.
The Friends…strive to intensify community awareness and use of the library.
Become a Friend
A strong active Friends of the Library group is one of the most rewarding assets a community can have! Continuous dedication to the promotion of quality library service is a major goal for all Montello Library Friends.
The Friends of the Montello Public Library first met in April 1988 with about a dozen eager folks. Growth has been steady since then, and we now invite you to join us in working to make our library the best that it can be!
Friends meetings are held quarterly at the library. Friends are always encouraged to bring friends, and visitors are always welcome. To enroll as a member of the Friends of the Montello Public Library you can contact the library at 297-7544.
